The Poseidonion Grand Hotel was built in 1914 by renowned architect Panagiotis Zizilas and was the vision of Spetses benefactor Sotirios Anargyros. 2014, marks the 100th year anniversary of this Spetses landmark, which re-opened in 2009 after an extensive five-year renovation. During its hundred years of existence, the hotel, following the remarkable vision of Sotirios Anargyros to make the island and the hotel a center of political, cultural, social activities, has shaped history, contributed to the development of Spetses. Hotel visitors in 2014 will have a chance to be part of history and to share the memories of this centenary year celebration, as well as participating in the many planned activities and happenings.
